About Our Designs ...

Originally conceived by sculptor Ed Merritt and inspired by colorful glass shards discarded on hot studio floors, these beautiful glass sculptures were born. Our lines combine the beauty of sculpture with the functionality of affordable hand-crafted products. 

Merritt, an active sculptor, inventor, and designer received his Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from Mass College of Art in Boston. His artistic achievements include a sculptural form housed in the permanent collection of The White House in Washington, DC. 

Merritt has exhibited his sculptures nationally and internationally and his design lines have sold in many fine craft galleries and museum stores including The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, MA, The Society of Arts and Crafts Boston, MA, The Museum of Modern Art, NY, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, CA and The Yale Museum, CT.

Merritt sold the rights to his line of Love Letters to Sallie Weaver and Pat Gardner. 

As of December 31, 2021 Pat Gardner became the Sole owner. Today he proudly markets the artisan-made glass blocks under the name of Expressions in Glass^TM.
